This website has been constructed as a tool for students, researchers, academicians, clinicians and decision-makers in health. It aims at making published material and updated summaries easily available for purely academic purposes. While primarily interested in Lebanese epidemiological facts and figures, the website also presents material from other Arab nations. The basic structure of this website was provided by the "Epidemiological review of selected diseases, injuries and risk factors in Lebanon: Background for the National Burden of Disease Study" prepared by Iman Nuwayhid and Abla Mehio-Sibai from the Faculty of Health Sciences, AUB (2002). The website includes epidemiological cources in Powerpoint format which can be downloaded and used as needed.

The webmaster would like to welcome all contributions from colleagues willing to add to the contents of the website. He hopes this endeavor will contribute to the advancement of Epidemiology and Public Health in the Arab world.
